PostSubject: Song Seung Hun In Love!   Mon Feb 14, 2011 8:36 pm

Actor Song Seung Hun has fallen in love! But don’t cry just yet!
On Feburary 13th, Song Seung Hun uploaded a picture of
himself and child actress Jun Min Suh on his Me2Day saying: “A picture
with our young Sul! She’s so pretty! I’d be so happy to have a daughter
like her in the future.”

Jun Min Suh played Kim Tae Hee’s childhood role in the MBC drama “My
Princess”. In the picture, Song Seung Hun has a happysmile on his face
with Jun Min Suh in his lap. To top it off, he did the same “flower
stem” pose as she did. How cute!
Netizens have responded positively saying things like “Her and Song
Seung Hun really look alike”, “Song Seung Hun has joined the ‘fool for
daughters’ ranks”, “They really look like father and daughter”, and so
on.
2PM's Nichkhun also seems to adore Jun Min Suh. What a lucky little girl!

PostSubject: Song Seung-heon’s Ghost screens in LA   Fri Feb 25, 2011 7:28 am

Song Seung-heon’s Ghost screens in LA

Listen up, Song Seung-heon fans: If you’re in the LA area, you’ll get a chance to pop in to see his move Ghost: Invisible Love, aka the remake of the Ghost
film starring Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore from ye olden ’90s.
(Seriously, they’ve even got the famous pottery-wheel scene.) The movie
begins screening tomorrow, February 25, so be sure to set aside some
time for some Song Seung-heon ogling. Yeah, there’s a plot too, but I’m
sure you’ve all seen the original?
It also stars Japanese actress Matsushima Nanako, who’s from the Ringu movies, although I know her better as the older sis from the Hana Yori Dango (Boys Over Flowers) franchise.
Courtesy of CJ Entertainment, Dramabeans readers get a discount to watch the film at Koreatown’s CGV Cinemas (the same theater that gave us giveaway tickets for Hello Ghost). Just print out the above coupon and take it with you to the theater to redeem. Easy as that!

We’ve talked about this movie a couple times before,
and the Japanese-Korean co-production was released at home last fall.
Lest you think it’s a cheesy scene-for-scene remake of the original, it
boasts one key difference: The one who dies and revisits the lover is
the woman, not the man — which is, let’s be honest, probably a good
thing given Song’s rather limited (1) Japanese, and (2) melo skills.
(Oh, the guy can do the glowering action star act in his sleep; it’s
heartfelt emotion that his bot-programming has yet to master.)
The movie is in Japanese, and screens with Korean subtitles. (I know,
it’s too bad there’s no English subs, but again, we’re mostly watching
this for The Pretty, right?)

PostSubject: Song Seungheon is not dating Kim TaeHee   Sat Mar 05, 2011 3:51 pm

Actor Song Seung-heon (35) clarified the scandal between him and Kim Tae-hee among entertainment people.

At an interview on the 2nd somewhere in Seoul, he said no when he was asked if he was seeing Kim Tae-hee.

However he said, "I have been with her on stage for the Andre Kim Fashion show as models and we go to the same salon so I know her. She is an Attractive person".

In the recently ended MBC drama "My Princess"
the two acted as lovers Park Hae-young and Lee Seol. They managed to
look like a real couple through their hugging scenes, dating scenes and
kiss scenes.

"It was difficult acting with someone as
beautiful as Kim Tae-hee when the role of Lee Seol was supposed to be
not pretty and reckless. There was a line where Park Hae-young (Song
Seung-heon) said to Lee Seol (Kim Tae-hee), "With your face? You think
that'll work?", but it wasn't easy
".

Song Seung-heon's ideal type is widely known as Han Ga-in. In an interview during the drama "East of Eden"
in 2008, he said his type was Han Ga-in and even in KBS 2TV "Sweet
Night" he picked Han Ga-in as his type in the "Ideal Type World Cup".

In
the broadcast then, Kim Tae-hee, Song Hye-kyo, Son Ye-jin, Kim
Hee-seon, Lee Da-hae, Han Chae-young and many other female stars were up
for runners

PostSubject: “I’m discovering that acting is fun”: Song Seung-heon interview   Mon Mar 07, 2011 7:01 pm

You know the general feeling ’round here about Song Seung-heon (My Princess, East of Eden),
who is known mostly for his inverse looks-to-talent ratio. So imagine
my surprise when I read this interview where he’s endearingly frank, and
jaw-droppingly self-aware…which is just NOT how I imagined the guy who
has but one serious facial expression…which is neither serious
nor expressive. I mean, he literally admits to spending a good part of
his career just trying to look cool. HA.
The 35-year old model-turned-actor debuted sixteen years ago, and I first saw him on the sitcom Three Men, Three Women
which ran from 1996-1999. Seeing him in a sitcom first explains why I
generally like him, despite his lack of dramatic chops, because he’s
always been good at funny. Not in a crafted, obvious comedic way, but in
a poke-fun-at-himself way. He makes reference to his character on the
show, whose entire concept was that he was the only one who thought he
was funny. It was 2000′s Autumn Fairy Tale that launched him
into Hallyu stardom (and the subsequent slew of serious, melodramatic
roles). Thankfully he’s come back around to comedy with My Princess, which has garnered him praise as an actor…maybe for the first time ever.
Here’s a translation of the interview he did with Yonhap News, the day after My Princess wrapped.

PostSubject: Song Seung Hun, “I really miss Hae Young and Princess Lee Seol” ♥   Wed Mar 09, 2011 1:56 pm

Hot star Song Seung Hun expressed his unending love for MBC’s drama “My Princess,” which ended in February. On March 8th, Song Seung Hun posted a photo on his me2day with the message,
“A cut from the CF shooting set during break time! Like everyone else, I
still really miss Hae Young (played by himself) and Lee Seol Princess
(played by Kim Tae Hee) these days! I miss…”

In the photo, Song Seung Hun is
wearing a white T-shirt while flashing his signature smile. The huge
teddy bear that he’s hugging is especially eye-catching. It’s impressive
to see the interesting contrast between the adorable teddy bear with a
pink ribbon and Song Seung Hun’s sexy biceps. He further added to his
fans, “Be careful not to catch a cold during the last chill before spring arrives. I’ll see you all soon!”.

Viewers showed heated reaction to this photo, remarking, "You’re
cute and sexy simultaneously!,” “I still miss ‘My Princess’ so much,
too,” “I wish I were the teddy bear that he’s embracing,” “I miss Hae
Young so much that I started watching ‘My Princess’ from episode 1
again.”

Song Seung-heon, Nam Sang-mi up for SBS drama?

Rumors are swirling about Song Seung-heon (My Princess) being cast as the lead in the upcoming drama Forget Me Not, as well as actress Nam Sang-mi (Life Is Beautiful),
although neither is a lock yet. However, it’s been teased that the
drama will feature a main couple at the “top star level,” and both would
fit that designation, though perhaps Song more than Nam.
It’s interesting news (at least, to me) because (1) it’s Song
Seung-heon, Mr. Big-Time Leading Man (also Hand Towel extraordinaire),
and (2) the drama is by Kim Soo-hyun — the respected writer, not the Dream High/Giant budding star, and (3) the two abovementioned things seem at odds with each other.

Song’s management team has put out the official statement that no
decisions have been made, which is common even when the star eventually
takes on the project, so all that means is that it’s not final. A rep
did confirm that he’d gotten the offer and is currently in talks about
the role, but said that things had not gone beyond that point.
On the other side is writer Kim, who’s known for being a hitmaker and has penned some huge dramas like Mom’s Dead Upset as well as the recent Life Is Beautiful; you may recall the incident where she spoke out strongly against the show’s decision to edit out out gay vows
that she’d written into the script, which warms my heart. (Both her
defense, and the actual scene, which you can read at that above link.)
Kim has done a lot of longer weekend dramas, but at 24 episodes Forget Me Not will be her first miniseries in four years, since 2007′s My Man’s Woman.
Also noteworthy is that this will also be helmed by the same PD who
worked with her on the successful dramas mentioned above, and perhaps
together they’ll be able to score another 40% hit.
If the casting goes through, it’ll be interesting to see if Song can
keep up; he ain’t exactly known for his dramatic chops, by reputation
and by his own admission. However, he did pleasantly surprise me in My Princess — granted, he coasted a bit on Kim Tae-hee’s
charm and his role of the perfect-man chaebol wasn’t terribly
challenging, but he was light and funny and very, very hot. And Nam
Sang-mi always makes me smile, with her sunny disposition and upbeat
energy. Plus, together they are just gorgeous.
Forget Me Not is being planned for Mondays and Tuesdays on SBS, following Warrior Baek Dong-soo, which puts its premiere in September.
