PostSubject: Rumors of another Yoon Eun-hye drama   Sat Mar 05, 2011 3:46 am

…may be greatly (or at least slightly) exaggerated. But still, even
though the talk is still in the rumor stage, where there’s smoke…
If we choose to take the optimistic approach, Yoon Eun-hye may be making her return to television this year, according to reports that she’s considering the project Sweet Scandal, which had previously gone by the title Lie To Me.
Sweet Scandal is a romantic-comedy drama planned for a post-Midas
broadcast on SBS, and Yoon has been linked to it in the press before.
It seems both sides (her management and the drama’s producers) are a
little exasperated with the press’s preoccupation with her casting, and
the PDs have stated that Yoon’s casting news is premature. Her rep also
stated, “She has considered the project, but there has been no decision.
Reports that she’s been cast have come out three times now. With the
reports coming out every time she’s considering a drama, it makes it
difficult to actually consider the drama.”

But it’s tough when you’re Yoon Eun-hye, whose every movement —
however minute and/or insignificant — tends to draw huge amounts of
attention. She’s also something of a hitmaker in dramaland, even more so
than other, bigger, A-list-ier stars (like, say, Sohn Ye-jin or Jung
Woo-sung, whose names alone haven’t been able to save sinking drama
ships) — I think Yoon manages to hit that perfect sweet spot of big-name
recognition, popularity, cross-generational appeal, and likable public
persona. Even her lesser series have performed better than average, and
her attachment practically has HIT! written over a project. (Goong and Coffee Prince were uber-hits; Vineyard Man was one of the only dramas to survive the Jumong juggernaut; and My Fair Lady still pulled in upper-teen ratings despite being a dismal wreck of writing and acting.)
The drama has two noted directors onboard: Kim Soo-ryong of the short melodrama series Father’s House and Kwon Hyuk-chan of this year’s body-swapping melo-fantasy Secret Garden.
That would be right up Yoon’s alley, since I think she’s at her best in
rom-coms with a few melo moments, rather than, say, straight-up drama
like Love Song, the melodrama remake of Comrades that she signed up to do last year, but which has understandably stalled since Park Yong-ha’s suicide last summer.
There have also been rumors placing Yoon in contention for KBS’s upcoming Maids, the follow-up from Pasta‘s writer, and MBC’s Discovery of Affection,
the Hong Sisters project that also teased a Gong Hyo-jin possibility.
Frankly, I’d be happy to see her in any of these dramas. She’s not the
most skilled actress out there, but she’s just so darned likable — she
puts so much of herself into her roles that what she lacks in technical
ability, she makes up for with her big, open, enthusiastic heart.
Currently, Yoon Eun-hye is promoting her rom-com movie My Black Minidress, which releases this month.

PostSubject: Yoon Eun Hye cries as she recalls her journey to attain credibility   Tue Mar 08, 2011 12:37 am

Actress Yoon Eun Hye confessed that she “worked to death” to rid herself of the label, “singer-turned-actress.”
On March 7th, Yoon Eun Hye guested on MBC’s “Come to Play
to promote her comeback to the big screen after a 5-year hiatus. During
the show, Yoon Eun Hye chose her leading role in the popular drama “Coffee Prince” as ‘the moment that changed my life’.

During a time when she was obsessed with emerging away from her label
as a singer-turned-actress, like fate, Yoon Eun Hye received the
scenario for “Coffee Prince.” She recalled, “Because of the
criticisms surrounding my acting, I was in a situation where I had to
change everything about myself – from head to toe. After reading 3-pages
of the ‘Coffee Prince’ scenario, I decided that this was a role that I
had to play. The thought that ‘life or death, I have to do this’ came to
my mind’.”

Yoon Eun Hye received the role of Eun Chan, an extreme tomboy. She revealed, “I
put in much effort to make everything I did, from even the way I sit,
seem like a guy. My eyebrows are naturally on the pretty-side, so I
purposefully applied hair restorer. I wanted my voice to be more
masculine, so I kept screaming at the karaoke bar; and whenever I bought
new clothes, I purposefully wrinkled them and slept in them.”
As Yoon Eun Hye recalled this difficult time, her eyes reddened with tears.
She added, “I’m going to keep working hard in all my future
projects, but I worry that I won’t fulfill expectations, which makes me
that much more cautious and sensitive”
– confessing her worries as an actress.

PostSubject: Yoon Eun Hye-List some of her friends in the industry   Fri Mar 11, 2011 5:48 am

Different from people's perception of easy going Yoon Eun Hye, she
"Doesn't become close with people easily. But people who are close to
her, are some of the best in entertainment.

"I'm
usually close with the staff members from projects or regular friends
outside of entertainment industry." Yoon Eun Hye said that she doesn't
easily become close with people, unlike what we had expected from her
easy going image. Throughout her long career in the entertainment
business, there are only few people that she is close with. So, it took a
while before we got her to reveal her connections. "I'm not even good
at asking a senior I worked with his/her phone number. It's really hard
for me to open up to people." Even so, Yoon Eun Hye said that she was
very lucky to have met 3 friends through 'My Black Mini Dress'. Let's
take a look at her human relations map. [Reporter Lee Ye Eun, Sports
Chosun]

▶Park Han Byul, Yoo In Na, Cha Ye Ryun: Main characters
of 'Ma Beul Mi (MBMD)' These are people that Yoon Eun Hye tried hard to
become close fast with. The director knew my personality, and had asked
me to do him a favor. Since I had to act out close friendships, he asked
me to go and try to approach them first to become closer. So I tried
and it worked."

Yoon Eun Hye said that she liked the fact each of
the three friends have a different charm. Yoon Eun Hye didn't stop to
praise her friends, "Byul (Park Han Byul) can be feminine like a
princess and cool with guys. These two aspects are her charm. She has
lots of guy friends, and is good in bowling and screen golf. Isn't it
eccentric? I like the way Ye Ryun has similar thoughts as me. And In Na
unnie may be the oldest one, but she's like a baby and can express her
girlish charm, something that I'm not good at."

▶ Seo In Young: A
friend that the stylists of Baby V.O.X and Jewelry introduced. That
unnie introduced us by saying, "You two don't have any friends, so you
should become friends (laughing). In Young tells me that I'm like her
mom. She listens to me very well. She comes off strong, but she's very
caring. And she's honest. She's a close friend who even my mom likes.
She's become much more mature these days, haha."

▶Go Joon Hee:
Closest younger (who began her career after YEH) friend. “We met when I
was young, on a variety show, 'X Man'. I first saw her filming abroad,
and she looked so mature, I thought she was older than me. So I would
show my respect and asked one day "Did you come alone", in a honorific
form. But she was a completely like a baby. We became close as I did her
hair and etc."

▶Jadu: “Friend from same agency. She has a
comeback coming up. Shall I say, we have a relationship in which we know
each other’s schedule all the time. Unnie has lost weight and looks
much more feminine these days. She enjoys the fact that people don’t
recognize her these days. She will be coming back soon, and I plan to
help her with the album jacket.”

▶Son Ye Jin: A Close unnie
(older sister) who she respects, and someone who she doesn’t have to be
careful in front of. “I met her during a cameo appearance in a project.
We get together to hang out or go out to eat whenever we have time.”

▶Joo
Ji Hoon, Gong Yoo, Lee Sun Kyun: When asked if she had any close guy
friends, she named these people in bunches. She had worked with all of
them. “These are guy friends that I really like and keep in touch with
frequently. You tend to become close when you do a project together.”

PostSubject: Yoon Eun-hye officially says goodbye to Love Song   Mon Mar 14, 2011 12:27 am

“It’s painful for us all.”
That’s what Yoon Eun-hye has to say about the fizzling of her drama project Love Song, which she has officially walked from. It’s not particularly surprising news, given that lead actor Park Yong-ha (Story of a Man, On Air) died shortly after accepting the role last year, leaving the production scrambling to find a replacement.

But it’s too bad nonetheless, as the drama had garnered strong
initial interest. Aside from its top star lineup, it had the name
recognition from being an adaptation of the famous Hong Kong film Comrades: Almost a Love Story (aka Tian Mi Mi), which starred Leon Lai and Maggie Cheung. There was even interest from Warner Bros. regarding buying the k-drama’s broadcast rights, as well as lots of pan-Asian attention toward the project.
After months of trying to secure a new actor and plans for continuing
the project, however, production house Verdi Media has made the
decision to pull the plug, and has erased all Love Song-related
information from its official website. A source with the company
confirmed the news, and stated the Verdi is preparing a new drama
instead.
To her credit, Yoon Eun-hye stuck with the project for the past nine
months (she’s rather known for her loyalty to her projects), but finally
called it quits. She said, “Everyone feels pained over it. As an actor,
though, I felt I couldn’t wait forever.”
Yoon also hinted that she’ll be choosing her next drama project
soon, stating that she’s been looking at many synopses and is preparing
for her television comeback. “I think I’ll be able to greet you all [in
a drama] in May or June.”
We can hope. Frankly, I’m okay with Love Song being
cancelled, since there would always have been that pall hanging over it
after Park Yong-ha’s death. And while I normally don’t have a problem
watching projects with deceased actors (I like to separate the drama
from reality, as a rule, and can watch something like Last Scandal
without fixating on the sad life of Choi Jin-shil), this is a project
that would have been inextricably tied to that horrible news from the
very beginning and throughout its every turn, and I still feel way too
sad about Park’s passing to be eager to watch it.

Έχω αναλάβει το thread για το Try Lying to Me στο D-Addicts. Φαίνεται αρκετά φάση. Και έχει και τέτοιους πρωταγωνιστές. Ehehe.
